Making a decision is just a milestone along the way. Later there's execution and possibly follow up and review. Confab doesn't address execution, there are already so many solutions for project management and work flow. But Confab does keep all the content used and contributed as a record for later reference. Every participant can contribute at their own pace (asynchronously) so that progress is made even when a synchronous meeting can't be scheduled. Don't wait to get everyone in the same place at the same time to get them on the same page. Participants can check in when they're ready to focus, avoiding interruptions. Notifications, notes and an update feed let people easily catch up when they've been disconnected.

🔐 Security and Privacy​

Information can be sensitive, proprietary, and valuable. It should be shared but also controlled and protected. The owners of a Confab are accountable to ensure the responsible distribution and use of confidential information. Owners assign roles to each Confab participant which permit different access and control.

  • An owner manages the participants and assigned roles
  • An editor can create, delete and update the available options and analysis data
  • A respondent can ask questions and provide feedback and opinions
  • A viewer can only observe and remain informed.

Other security features:​

  • Permissions are integrated into the Confab data model and ensures only the right people see and modify content.
  • All data is encrypted in transit and stored securely.
  • Confab supports secure authentication via Clerk.dev.
